Bring your time and energy.
Volunteers are the heart of Harvest House. Join a community of 50+ neighbors dedicated to ending hunger in Sussex County.
Help prepare, package and serve meals, greet guests, and clean up after service. We also need dependable fill-in volunteers who can step in on short notice when a regular volunteer is sick or has a scheduling conflict.
Assist our team with picking up and delivering locally donated food and supplies to Harvest House. We also need dependable on-call volunteers who are available on short notice when a generous donor offers a large perishable food donation that needs to be picked up right away.
Can't commit to a regular shift? Our fundraising events need dedicated volunteers a few times a year — and the funds raised keep Harvest House's doors open every single day.
Sponsor a day of meals.
Each daily lunch service at Harvest House feeds up to 60 neighbors in need. Restaurants, local businesses, food markets, and farms can sponsor an entire day; making a direct, visible impact on your community. Contact us to schedule your sponsored day.
Restaurants and licensed caterers can prepare and sponsor an entire daily lunch service, up to 60 hot meals, providing ingredients cooked at your restaurant. Deliver meals to the Harvest House by 9AM the morning of lunch service. We will package and distribute meals. Your restaurant's name will be recognized at Harvest House on your sponsored day and posted to our Facebook page.
Local businesses can make a meaningful impact by sponsoring a full day of meals for up to 60 neighbors in need. A great opportunity for team giving, civic engagement, or community recognition. Your business will be featured on our social media and displayed at Harvest House on your sponsored day.
Local farms and markets can sponsor a daily meal, feeding up to 60 people in need, by donating fresh, seasonal produce and meat. Farm and market donations go directly to the table and help us provide the most nutritious meals possible. As always, your charitable gift will be recognized on our Facebook page and at Harvest House on the day of meal sponsorship.
One of the most basic ways to find comfort through the grieving process is to give food. Honor your loved one by providing their favorite meal to others in need. On the day of your loved one's sponsorship meal, a poster featuring their picture and name will be displayed at Harvest House; a beautiful and lasting tribute through an act of generosity. An optional memorial message for your loved one can be posted on our Harvest House Facebook page.
Harvest House estimated operating cost per day: $240 - covers up to 60 hot meals, served on any chosen day of the week, Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at 37 Main St., Sussex, NJ.
